Abstract

This bulletin gives local public officials andanalysts a methodology for conducting economic and fiscal impact studies. After brief introduction, economic base theory is discussed in section 2. This framework provides the basis from which economic impacts are estimated. Section 3. develops the impact model, which includes the fundamentalequations characterizing economic and social relationships. Data requirements and sources are considered in section 4. Section 5 provides a step-by-step illustration of the model, and section 6 concludes the paper
