Abstract

The paper deals with the c1assification of 230 profiles of intertropical soils from Zaïre for which descriptions and data were published in 1972 (C. SYS). The profiles are correlated with "Soil Taxonomy". Difficulties are discussed and suggestions for changes in definitions are made
