Abstract
Information on genetic divergence is derived from data on 16 yield and yield-related attributes in 225 S. italica genotypes, of diverse origin, raised in Bangalore, India. Some 33 clusters, based on the D² statistic, were identified, of which 6 were solitary superior clusters. Considerable genetic diversity was noted between the genotypes. Genetic divergence was not related to geographical diversity
