Abstract

Larvae of Autographa nigrisigna (Wlk.) were found infesting chickpea [Cicer arietinum] in Uttar Pradesh, India, in 1979 and 1980, in association with those of Heliothis armiger (Hb.). The proportion of A. nigrisigna fell from 90% in the first week of March 1979 to 48% in the second week of April 1980.
