Abstract

Field release/spray of various bio-agents individually and in different combinations at ten days interval indicated that five releases/sprayings of Chrysoperla zastrowi sillemi and Beauveria bassiana were effective in reducing the population of aphids (Aphis craccivora) and Empoasca kerri on groundnut, respectively. In another field trial conducted during same period, five rounds of application of six botanical insecticides at ten days interval, starting from 20 days after sowing up to 60 days resulted reduction in population of 9.47 nos./5 leaves for aphids and 6.55 nos./5 plants for leaf hopper as against 39.47 nos./5 leaves and 28.62 nos./5 plants in untreated check
