Abstract

The grain yield of chickpea significantly declined due to moisture stress. Significant decreased in chlorophyll and carotenoid contents was also observed under moisture stress. Accumulation of MDA (malondialdehyde), glycine-betaine and proline under moisture stress condition was experienced. Dahod yellow variety of chickpea was identified as drought tolerant variety
