Abstract
Pearl Millet (Pennisetum americanum L. Leeke) also called spiked millet in English bajara in Hindi id the world’s most important cereals in the hot arid section of the world. It has great potential and can produce more forage than either sorghum or maize when grown in favourable environment In grain production, however, the best sorghum and maize hybrids out yield the top pearl millet under optimum growing condition.
