Abstract

The report describes the land utilization types of the study, stating the circumstances under which the crops are to be produced. The eight crops selected for the study are: maize, sorghum, pearl miliet, wheat, soybean, ground-nut, cassava and cotton. Each erop is considered at two levels of inputs, a low and a high. The report also describes the ecological adaptability of crops from which the erop climatic and edaphic requirements relevant to land evaluation are derived
