Abstract

Groundnut, an important oilseed crop, is widely grown in several States of India. Its cultivation has become popular in Bihar recently. The crop is especially suited to the uplands of Cthotnagpur. Researches are being conducted at the Agricultural Research Institute, Kante, Ranchi, to evolve new varieties of groundnut that may be better suited to the State in Bihar in general, and Cthotnagpur region in particular....
