Abstract
To determine the optimum age of sticklings for overwintering and thermal induction, trials were conducted with Ramonskaya(kmr) variety of sugrabeet(Beta vulagaris L.). On the 2 seeding dates and 7 transplanting dates, the earliest seeding of July 25 and the earliest transplanting of September 25 were significantly superior to all other treatments and resulted in average seed yield of 42.30 q/ha. Averaged over years and transplanting dates, July 25 seeding has produced 41.5 per cent more seed yield than the August 25 seeding. ...
