Abstract
Combining ability was studied in a diallel cross involving 10 sorghum genotypes inoculated with charcoal rot (Macrophomina phaseolina) two weeks after 50% flowering. Of 45 crosses evaluated, M35-1 X CSV8R, M35-1 X E36-1 and CSV-8R X E36-1 were seen as the most promising for obtaining desirable high-yielding and rot resistant segregants in subsequent generations
