Abstract
Information on genetic variance is derived from data on root cation exchange capacity (CEC), grain yield and 1000-grain weight in 6 generations of crosses between 5 varieties planted out at Indore in 1986. Conventional breeding methods (pedigree selection) are recommended for the crosses SPV346 X SPV351 and Vidisha 60-1 X CS3541
