Abstract

In trials with 4 chickpea cv. grown from uninoculated seeds and those inoculated with 3 Rhizobium strains, inoculation with strain F 75 was the most effective in increasing nodulation and seed yields in cv. BG-203, Chaffa and Dohad Yellow, followed by inoculation with strain H 45; in cv. H-208, inoculation with strain H 45 was slightly superior to inoculation with strain F 75 for yield but not for nodulation.
