Abstract

The present work describes the collection, extraction and phytochemical investigation of plant material jatropa multifida belongs to the family Euphorbiaceae. The plant materials were collected, powdered and extracted with chloroform: methanol (1:1) at room temperature. The present investigation on jatropa multifida afford five compounds such as Jatro grossidentation, Fraxidin, Fraxetin, Tetradecyl E ferrulate, 4-butyl -2 -chloro -5- formyl 1 H- imidazole. The structure of the compound was confirmed by spectral data such as IR, NMR and Mass spectroscopy
