Abstract

SRAP assay was conducted using 10 peanut cultivars from Chinn of 3 market types and 51 SRAP primer cambinations to evaluate the utility of SARP in peanut, Of the primer palm tested, 2 produced monomorphic bands only, and 49 totally produced 1087 bands, among which 503 (46.27%) were polymorphic, with an average of lo. 26 polymorphic bands and 22.18 bands per primer combination. The total number of bands and polymorphic bands in the 49 primer combinations ranged from 7-63 and 2- 32 respectively
