Abstract

The effects of high concentrations of carbon dioxide and nitrogen on the mycoflora of shelled and unshelled peanuts in storage apparently have not been the specific subject of published research.Laboratory studies with various fungi have indicated generally that an increase of carbon dioxide concentration above that of normal air has a measurable depressing effect on the growth of storage fungi.
