Abstract
Groundnut oil contaminated with aflatoxins was treated with kaolin to detoxify the oil. Activated as well as inactivated kaolin were rested at levels of 1 , 1.5 and 3 4 , with contact limes of 15 and 30 minutes. Satisfactor,resutls were obtained with 3% activated kaolin for I5 min. at 80°C. Degumming of the crude oil resulted in a partial removal of aflatoxins
