Abstract

Over 700 groundnut germplasm lines were screened during 1987 and 1988 and 12 of these are listed which showed <1% transmission of peanut stripe potyvirus, formerly reported as peanut mild mottle potyvirus and one of the most economically important viruses on this crop in China. Av. seed transmission in the 1988 screening was 8.6% (5-20% in most genotypes)
