Abstract
For the past five years production of peanuts in the United States has exceeded all records and Geogrgia leads other states in production. High producing in states in order are:Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Virginia, Texas, and Florida. In 1938 there were considerably more than one and one half million acres of peanuts harvested, and the production was a little over seven hundred thousand tons. The use peanut oil in this country has greatly increased during the last five years.
