Abstract
The occurrence of Thielaviopsis basicola in groundnut-producing areas of South Africa is recorded. The pathogen was isolated from roots, stems, gynophores and seeds of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea) plants, as well as from the pods. Authors' summary.
