Abstract

In the present study a number of single crosses involving prolific and non-prolific inbreds were tested (1) for four consecutive years at 9 different locations in Missouri and (2) for one year at four different planting rates near Columbia, Missouri. The main objective of this investigation was to evaluate the relative performance of prolific and prolific hybrids for stability of yield over different locations and years and at different planting rates.
