Abstract
Water exerts a marked influence on the activity of enzymes responsible for changes in biochemical components. The complex nature of biochemical changes which occur due to water deficits is not fully understood. Since these changes are mediated largely by enzyme systems, the effects of water stress on these systems are fundamental importance.
