Abstract
A field experiment was conducted during rabi 2003-04 on clay soil to study the efficacy of high grade rock phosphate (34/74) as a source of phosphorus to chickpea with organic treatments. Results of the study revealed that application of recommended dose of phosphorus (RDP) through Single superphosphate (SSP) increased the yield attributes and yield compared to Diammonium phosphate (DAP) or high grade rock phosphate application alone. Combined application of high grade rock phosphate with FYM @ of 5 t ha-1 or phosphorus solubilizing bacteria (PSB) resulted in chickpea productivity equal to that of SSP or DAP.
