Abstract

During entomological surveys on noctuid and pyralid pests on food crops in Senegal, 7 species of Cardiochiles were collected. Two of these were new records, viz. Cardiochiles variegatus attacking early instar larvae of Heliothis armigera and Heliocheilus albipunctella (Raghuva albipunctella), and Cardiochiles sahelensis attacking early instar larvae of only H. albipunctella. C. variegatus reached a high level of parasitism of H. armigera
