Abstract
The Front Line Demonstration was conducted in Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh on farmers field, during rabi 2007–08 to 2009–10 on pigeonpea. The IPM package under Maharajganj district applied 1-Summer ploughing 2-Mixing of sorghum seeds (300 gram/ha) as bird perches 3-Spraying of NSKE 5% and 4-Spraying of insecticide Indoxacarb 14.5 SC, 300 ml/ha at 50 per cent pod formation. The average production of pigeonpea increase 45.84 per cent and control the pod borer and pod fly up to 85 per cent through IPM practices and gain the additional net returns of Rs. 30510.00 per ha over farmer practices. Farmers of the pigeonpea areas of district are much convinced about IPM module effect for control of pod borer and pod fly in pigeonpea.
