Abstract

Experiments were conducted to determine the genetic estimates concerning the inheritance of lodging resistance in Sorghum vulagare Pers. and also to evaluate other associated plant that characters that will provide a basis for more effective selection for lodging resistance. Eight selected sorghum lines of six recent introduction and two standard combined type were crossed in a diallel fashion and tested in a replicated trial. Significant mean squares in the analyses of variance indicated that great that variation existed among parents for all traits....
