Abstract
Experiments were conducted on opaque-2 and conventional yellow dent maize (normal maize) under field and laboratory conditions. The near-isogenic single-cross hybrids, opaque-2 (U64A-op-2 X MS-14-op-2) and normal maize (U64A-TRf X M-14-TRf) were used to study yield and components of yield during the 1968 growing season.
