Abstract

Approximately 120,000 acres of peanuts were harvested in Oklahoma in 1969. The value of this crop was estimated at 25 million dollars. Therefore, peanuts contribute much to the economy of Oklahoma. The peanut varieties currently produced in Oklahoma are those of the Spanish type, which is considered a small-selected type.
