Abstract
The WTO Agreement on Agriculture strives to establish free and fair trade in agricultural commodities. It is believed that once implementation phase (1995-2004) is over, countries having comparative advantage in producing a commodity will dominate trade in that commodity. India, enriched with varied climate and soil, produces a wide range of agricultural commodities. Abundance of labor provides further opportunity to produce at low cost.
