Abstract

The influence of the in-row sowing rate for different varieties of Sudan grass and Sorghum x Sudan grass hybrids on the green mass productiveness in brooming stage was studied in 2010–2011. In significantly differing agro-climatic conditions of the two years the denser sowings form higher yield of green and dry mass, and the rainfalls distribution has a significant importance for the more favorable yield structure. The tested varieties and hybrids have high productive potential for stable yields of green mass in conditions of extreme deviations from the agro-climatic norms
