Abstract
It was customary to print the annual reports of the Directorate of Marketing and Inspection up to tho year 1949, Thereafter, due to various difficulties caused mostly by war time restrictions on printing, the reports could not be printed and issued to the general public until 1948. In that year a report covering the pried 1941-48 was printed and published. In subsequent years also, owing to continued restrictions on printing and publication as also to a certain extent due to difficulties caused by insufficiency of staff, the annual reports could not be prepared and published. This report will cover a period of six years from 1949 to 1954. It is now decided to publish the report every year.
