Abstract
A field trial was carried out in Maharashtra, India, in 1979-81 to investigate the possibility of reducing the dosage of carbofuran required for the control of shootfly [Atherigona soccata] on sorghum hybrids. Sorghum seeds were treated with carbofuran at 4 g a.i./100 g seed. Treated and untreated seeds were mixed at ratios of 95:5, 90:10, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, 10:90 and 5:95. On the basis of yield and incidence of the pest, the 25:75 and 50:50 mixtures were most effective
