Abstract
Grain yield per plant and 8 related characters were studied in crosses of 8 male-sterile lines with 10 fertility-restoring lines, grown in the kharif and rabi seasons in 1976-77. Grain yield was positively correlated with most characters in both seasons. Path analysis showed that panicle weight and number of secondary branches per panicle had the largest positive direct effects on yield
