Abstract

Peanut plants (Arachis hypogaea)inoculated with a mild strain of peanut mottle virus and harboring an effective Rhizobium expressed typical mild symptoms. However, similarly inoculated plants harboring ineffective Rhizobium showed more severe symptoms, resembling descriptions of those caused by a necrotic strain of the virus.
